Details:

With equity and bond markets continuing to rally, is the bull cycle (for either or both asset classes) coming to an end? What can pension funds do to protect themselves should prices retreat and is there anywhere to hide? However, as history seems to suggest, it is extremely difficult to time the end of a bull market, so should pension funds continue to take risks and remain invested for ‘fear’ of missing out on any continuing upside? If so, can these risks be better managed? Are downside protection strategies cost effective today and what really are the opportunity costs of implementing such a strategy in today’s environment? Where are the opportunities to invest today?
