The Future for Interest Rates – Implications for Portfolios

Date:

9 April 2019 15:30 to 20:00

Venue:

Het Slot Zeist, Zinzendorflaan 1, 3703 CE Zeist, Netherlands

Chairperson:

Patrick Groenendijk, Head of Strategy, Shell Asset Management Company (SAMCo)

Details:

The aftermath of the financial crisis has led to multiple rounds of Quantitative Easing (QE) globally leading to historic lows in interest rates. This coupled with rising debt levels and increased geopolitical uncertainty has continued to keep yields and interest rates depressed for many years.

At this Seminar we considered whether the low interest rate environment is a temporary phase or more structural and what impact does this have on pension schemes’ strategic and tactical asset allocation policy and how best can trustees take this into account when making decisions on their investment policy?
