The Seminar will begin with a special Morning Presentation and a Keynote talk from Marja Nykänen, Deputy Governor, Bank of Finland giving an economic outlook, the Bank’s thoughts on future Monetary Policy and an update on key issues and challenges ahead.
The main seminar, held after lunch, will cover Asset Allocation in this ongoing low interest rate environment and will discuss the macro economic outlook for rates and the impact of the very real situation of negative interest rates. Just how are pension funds coping in the ‘new normal’ world of monetary policy with low rates? Is Sweden the ‘canary in the coal mine!’ having just raised interest rates?
What are the short, medium and long-term outlooks for interest rates and inflation? What should pension funds do going forward regarding their investment policy, exposures to inflation and interest rate risks and strategic asset allocation?
