While the DB Funding Code is now due to be published in April 2024, schemes will start to consider some of its implications. Once area is consideration of a low dependency portfolio for pension schemes as they reach ‘significant maturity’. In light of this, at this Seminar we considered whether Cashflow Driven Investing (CDI) will become the ‘new LDI’ and addressed:

  • Update on DB Funding Code & implications for asset allocation
  • What does a low dependency portfolio look like?
  • What is the difference between CDI & LDI?
  • What risks, including liquidity, need to be considered when implementing a CDI strategy?
  • What is the implications for schemes considering a risk transfer exercise such as buy ins or buyouts?
  • With current interest rates levels, which assets fit best within a CDI portfolio?
