Date:

Venue:

Hotel Bellevue, Kochergasse 3/5, 3011 Bern, Switzerland

Chairperson:

Thomas Groffmann, Fund Administrator, Reserve Fund of the European Patent Office

Details:

Academic research tells us that an illiquidity premium exists and as long-term investors, pension funds are, in theory, better placed to capture such illiquidity returns than other shorter term investors. At this Seminar, we explored whether the illiquidity premia exist today, how stable are they over time and which investment strategies and asset classes provide the best opportunity to access this premium cost effectively and thus enhance returns for pension funds. Our speakers focused on alternative asset classes more specifically.
