Fred Jaffe

Fred Jaffe is the co-founder and Executive Director of The European Pension Fund Investment Forum.

Fred is involved in all aspects of running The European Pension Fund Investment Forum but has particular interest in selecting and preparing speakers for presentations and in monitoring current

investment topics. Fred regularly meets with members to ensure close contact with the needs of the pension fund community to enable The European Pension Fund Investment Forum to meet these needs.

Fred's career started with the US Congress as a Senior Legislative Aide and he then continued in Government as a Trial Counsel for the Federal Energy Regulating Commission. After six years in Washington, Fred joined Standard & Poor's as Vice President Corporate Finance (bond analyst) and then moved to Jefferies & Co. (an investment banking firm) as Senior Vice President, International Business Development - working in New York and then in London.

Fred is a qualified lawyer and a member of the Washington DC Bar.

Trevor Cook

Trevor is Executive Director of The European Pension Fund Investment Forum and is the founder of Specialist Pension Services Ltd and SPS Conferences . He advises Pension Funds and other investment institutions throughout Europe and in the United States.

Trevor's career started at the Legal & General Assurance Society,

and progressed through Swiss Life Insurance & Pension Company to GEC where he became Assistant Pensions Manager in charge of scheme administration. After a brief spell with Lonrho, Trevor joined Maxwell Communication Corporation and subsequently transferred to The Mirror Group as their Pensions Manager.

He left The Mirror in October 1992, a year after the Maxwell debacle, to start Specialist Pensions Services. In his position with EPFIF, Trevor organises seminars and other events in Antwerp, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Stockholm and Zeist (Netherlands) for Pension Funds with assets approaching €1,000 billion. Pension Fund members of the Forum are based throughout Europe.
